Glock Switch
A Glock switch is a device that illegally converts a semi-automatic handgun into a fully automatic firearm. These devices are not manufactured or sold by Glock and are banned under federal law in the United States.
How it works
It is a small metal or plastic object, often 3D printed, that can be installed on the back of a Glock pistol’s slide.
- The device interferes with the gun’s internal mechanisms, specifically the trigger bar, to bypass its function of limiting fire to a single round per trigger pull.
- With the device installed, holding down the trigger allows the gun to fire continuously until the ammunition is depleted.
- This conversion enables the pistol to fire at a rate of up to 1,200 rounds per minute.
